KEVIN HOWLEY is Professor of Media Studies at DePauw University. His research and teaching interests include media sociology, political economy, and technology studies. Dr. Howley’s work has appeared in the Journal of Radio Studies, Journalism: Theory, Practice & Criticism, and Television and New Media. He is author of two books, Community Media: People, Places, and Communication Technologies (Cambridge, 2005) and Drones: Media Discourse & The Public Imagination (Peter Lang, 2018); as well as editor of Understanding Community Media (Sage, 2010) and Media Interventions (Peter Lang, 2013).

DAVID PETRUSHKA is a Senior at DePauw University. He is working to complete his undergraduate degree in Communications and pursuing a minor in Film Studies. Outside of the classroom, he works as the Music Director for WGRE 91.5: Your Sound Alternative. While he has interests in all things media, he is particularly interested in working in radio production and management.


JIN KIM joined Instructional and Learning Services department as a Multimedia Development and Support Specialist in April 2004. Jin was working and studying at IU Bloomington Graduate School before coming to DePauw. He was majoring in Instructional Systems Technology and minoring in Curriculum and Instruction.
